As the Christmas period draws closer, here our are highlights for our first year! For those of you that may not already know, Polaris Yacht Supply officially launched in January this year. We specialise in supplying the finest deck equipment to superyachts, shipyards and new build projects worldwide. Anything from Tender Mooring Whips and Carbon Fibre Swim Ladders to Inflatable Fenders, Mooring Lines and more, you name it, we will source and supply it! It has been an excellent year for us in all areas of the business as we'll outline below.
YACHT SHOWS
This year we visited our first three superyacht shows. Although we didn't have a physical stand at either of the shows, it was great to meet our clients, our ever supportive suppliers and be introduced to new clients as well as showcase what we have to offer.
Palma International Boat Show - April/ May
In April/ May this year, we attended our very first superyacht show, the Palma International Boat Show in Mallorca. Split over 3 days in the glorious Mallorca sun, the show had everything on offer from the latest toys and water sports to superyachts both motor and sail. It also provided us with the opportunity to catch up with old friends and crew and allowed us to showcase who we are and what we do.
Monaco Yacht Show - September/October
Next up was Monaco Yacht Show at the end of September. As you may have seen from our recent article about the show (we won't spoil the details for you), it was a great success for us, meeting new clients and suppliers as well as visiting our suppliers stands and enjoying the last of the warm weather.
METS Trade - November
Our final show of the calendar year was METS Trade. Having never attended this show before, it was breath-taking! Read our recent article for a roundup of the show. The sheer scale of the show meant miles of walking to and from meetings and show stands. It was great to catch up with our industry friends and suppliers and we look forward to visiting again next year!
PRODUCTS
Over the course of this year, due to increased demand from our clients for specific products, we expanded our product range to include Tender Mooring Whips, Safety & Working Aloft equipment and Tow Lines including TowPro. This expansion has allowed us to supply a greater variety of products to our clients as well as increasing our network of suppliers throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. In particular our new range of Tender Mooring Whips which has become one of our more popular products this year, having delivered countless sets to superyachts worldwide.
NEW BUILD PROJECTS
This year was a year of firsts for us here at Polaris Yacht Supply, especially for New Build Projects. Using our global network of suppliers, we supplied the majority of the deck equipment to our first Northern European new build project. We are very much looking forward to our next one!
CONCLUSION
It has been a great first year for us in all areas of the business, having been warmly welcomed into the industry by our clients, friends and suppliers. We are very much looking forward to what 2023 has in store!
